Friday’s treat – Lemon muffins

Daca aveti chef de un desert nu prea dulce, dar plin de aroma, atunci va recomand niste muffins cu lamaie. Reteta suna cam asa:

Ingrediente:

coaja de la 2 lamai

180ml lapte

1 ou

1/2 lingurita sare

1 pliculet praf de copt

80ml ulei vegetal

100g zahar

250g faina

sucul de la o jumatate de lamaie

100g zahar pudra

Am inceput cu ingredientele umede, adica am batut oul, apoi am adaugat uleiul, laptele, coaja de lamaie si am mixat putin, dupa care am adaugat amestecul de zahar, faina, praf de copt, sare. Am amestecat pana cand am obtinut un amestec omogen si apoi am turnat in tava pentru muffins. Am dat tava la cuptorul incins in prealabil la 200 grade, pret de vreo 30 min. Inainte de a le scoate din cuptor ar fi bine sa le incercati, adica luati o scobitoare si infigeti-o in muffins, daca nu se lipeste nimic de ea, atunci e semn, bun, prajiturelele sunt gata.

Cat timp s-au racit am facut un frosting delicios, am amestecat zahar pudra cu sucul de lamaie. Fiecare muffin a aterizat in cap si s-a ales cu un strat lucios si plin de savoare. Sa nu ratati reteta asta sau daca aveti una mai buna, impartasiti-o si cu mine :)

If you fancy for a desert, not too sweet, but yet full of flavour, I strongly recommend to go for some lemon muffins. The recipe sounds like this:

Ingredients:

the zest of 2 lemons

180ml milk

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

80ml vegetable oil

100g sugar

250g flour

the juice of half a lemon

100g powder sugar

I started with the wet ingredients, I beat the egg, then added the oil, milk and the lemon zest and mixed them for a minute or so, then I added the sugar, flour, baking powder and pinch of salt. I kept stirring until I got a homogeneous mixture and put it in a muffin tray. The ray went in the oven, preheated at 200 degrees, for about 30 min. Before you take the muffins out of the oven I recommend to try them, just to make sure they are baked. To do that take a toothpick and stick it in one muffin. If there is nothing sticking on it, then it’s a good sign that it is well baked and you can take the tray out of the oven.

While the muffins cooled down I prepared a very simple frosting, but yet delicious. Am mixed the powder sugar with the lemon juice and then each of the muffin landed on their heads in this frosting, getting all shinny and nice.
